Acupressure Online

Acupressure session ONLINE is now an option to acupuncture during lockdown

Acupressure massage follows the same concepts as acupuncture, being part of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

It is a treatment option for people that are not comfortable with the needles, as the stimulus used is massage applied directly to the acupuncture points of the body, mostly by using the hands, fingers, thumbs or knuckles and occasionally a smooth, blunt object, like a gua-sha board or cupping.

Acupressure massage

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak acupressure became the best option to acupuncture treatments, as it is efficient and your acupuncturist can teach you various point locations and self massage techniques, together with relaxation or meditation and tapping for the release of tension and to stimulate the energy meridians of your body in an effective manner.

Acupressure is frequently used in conjunction with Acupuncture and cupping, for the treatment of tension in back muscles for example, your acupuncturist certainly used acupressure during some sessions and you might already know how it helps, but if you have never tried acupuncture or acupressure before, you should try and know that with the technology available today with video and recordings it will be easy to try an online session in the comfort of your own home.

We used to offer short face-to- face acupressure and cupping sessions (30 min) for the relief of tension on back neck and shoulders in the clinic, and now we offer online sessions of 1 hour and follow-ups of 30 minutes as well.
